When we were on 100Mbps uplink to providors Cisco we had to set our rtr to 100 Full no auto, but when we upgraded at our fiber points and they put in 1Gbps Ciscos, we had to set ours on 1Gbps Full auto. Which is STUPID and means somebody isn't conforming to Ethernet standards properly. If you're connecting via gigE copper SFPs that's one thing... But copper to copper and GigE doesn't work right?
