Re: [WISPA] Thanks all!
My grandparents ate that food every single day...kinda goes with living in rural south. One grandfather lived to 93, other 86. One grandmother is still living at 82, other one past away at 81. The food has something to do with it, but not as much as many doctors let on. The food can be much worse with being overweight and smoking. None of my grandparents ever smoked and the worked every day on farms. None are/were overweight, if anything underweight. I guess they worked off all the fatty foods they ate every morning. Now if I only I could follow their examples. So I asked God to take the smokes away and help me not like them any longer but asked if he could do it with something a little less severe than cancer. The next day when I got out of bed I could no longer be around smoke at all. The smell made me sick to my stomach and I would have sinus and breathing issues even being around the smoke. I never smoked again and to this day have no cravings. For any of you who smoke you know that is miraculous. That was a few years back. Those of you that know me well know I am the farthest thing from a model Christian. I guess my point is that this had to work really good for me to make these statements. If any of you want to quit then hit me offlist and we can talk more. Mac, we are glad you are well brother! (Physically anyway...the jury is still out on your mental status!) [WISPA] Thanks all!
Hey gang, Today is my first day back at work since the heart attack. I wanted to send out a THANKS for the thoughts, cards, flowers and prayers. I really appreciate all of you more than you know. It seems that I am going to be better than ever now that I have two stints and a balloon in the arteries of my heart J I was glad to get the report of zero damage to my ole' ticker from the heart attack and I am also glad to report that I am now a reformed smoker. There is something about this new incentive called life that has made quitting smoking after 36 years - - a lot easier. Thanks again crew - - y'all are a great group to be associated with! Re: [WISPA] Thanks all!
Welcome back Mac. Glad to hear you have been able to recover and in the event of it all also been able to stop smoking (congratulations). Stay strong, eat healthy and stay away from the cancer sticks. The later might be hard especially when you have a drink or two that is when most reformed smokers have the hardest time to refrain. Cheers and welcome back to humanity Mac. /Eje Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile -Original Message- From: Mac Dearman li...@inetsouth.com Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2009 10:07:30 To: 'WISPA General List'wireless@wispa.org; 'Motorola Canopy User Group'motor...@wispa.org Subject: [WISPA] Thanks all! As for the quite smoking incentive, I hope it doesn't take that much for some others (me included). I just have to quit liking it. :-( -- * Butch Evans * Professional Network Consultation* * http://www.butchevans.com/* Network Engineering * * http://www.wispa.org/ * WISPA Board Member * * http://blog.butchevans.com/ * Wired or Wireless Networks * WISPA Wants You!
