Yeah. The upgrade tool does not do these units. Apparently the upgrade
tool is built into what looks kinda like a regular IOS version. Just
follow download screens on Cisco for Aironet 1250.

When I went looking for midspans back in June/July, there was only one that
actually supported the required Cisco signaling to enable high-power mode on
the AP. The midspan is/was the PhiHong POE125U-4HP four port unit. The other
midspans required a dongle at the AP to split the power back off f

Q. Will third-party Power over Ethernet mid-span devices be able to
consistently power the Cisco Aironet 1250 Series?
A. No interoperability testing has been done with third-party Power over
Ethernet mid-span devices.
Can you use the WCS, WISM or controller to upgrade the AP from autonomous to
LWAPP?

Thanks, fellows. I did find it- but didn't realize the upgrade tool will
not do 1252s. Suffering through TFTP issues as we speak. Grumble

It is there, just in the wrong place. Goto;

12.4.10b-JA1 and there you have WIRELESS LAN LWAPP RECOVERY.

That's pretty strange. I converted a FAT 1252 a couple months to
LWAPP and got the image from CISCO. Not there now though! Really
strange - None of the upgrade images are available for any of the ap
models!
Don't seem o be able to find the image I used, locally, either.

Our Cisco rep has dropped off a few 1252 11n APs to play with. But...
they are IOS, and I need them to be LWAPP. I've converted hundreds of
APs from fat to thin, so the process is no big deal, but on TAC there is
no Autonomous to Lightweight Upgrade Image available. Has anyone else
