For those that did use AutoConnect, what was the response of users who actively
used third party clients that were then removed?

Might not be related to your issue, but could be a different angle, or way to
look at the problem.
The problems we are experiencing are the way the Vista machines are handling
the 802.1x dynamic vlan assignments and dhcp requests. When the laptop
completes its machine authentication, it is
Chip,
The thing is that I do not even see the networks in order to
establish/attempt physical connectivity.
For your problem, it seems like it is a DHCP lease time issue. If the
device maintains connectivity (which from what you are telling me it
does), it will not try to renew it's IP
We have had a large amount of issues with timing since converting to the light
weight solution, so this would not surprise me if it is another timing issue.
However, we have focused on the 802.1x issue with dhcp primarily because the

We have a Cisco WLC-4402 and ACS v4.1. Until recently we've been
running our wireless wide open and using VPN for encryption, but want to
move to WPA/WPA2 for all our clients. We will use the idEngines
AutoConnect product to configure the clients (student machines) but I've
run into problems
For those that are using this product, how many of you are using it with
LDAP? For those that started out with an LDAP/ACS setup, what changes were
made to use AutoConnect? I'm wondering if anyone is using AutoConnect with
an LDAP/ACS setup without the purchase of the Idengines Ignition Server.
We have 16 controllers also on 4.2.130.0 and so far so good. We have
seen a couple of DHCP issues as you mentioned, but our workaround was to
turn the DHCP assignment requirement off for right now.

We already went through something similar. We ended up putting all our
students in Active Directory so we didn't have to worry about an
additional supplicant and went with PEAP/MSCHAPV2. The method that I was
seriously considering was TTLS which is only a certificate on the
server-side (very
