Prolems with Apple Macs and 802.1x

2011-04-05 Thread Peter P Morrissey
Has anyone who automatically authenticates with Safeconnect via 802.1x seen problems in 10.6.7 and possibly 10.6.5? What we are seeing is if someone connects to one of our non-802.1x SSID's, then switches back to the 802.1x SSID that has an existing profile with stored credentials, the Mac

Policy towards self installed AP's in dorms

These questions are targeted at larger schools with large dorm populations that use EAP authentication (802.1x) on their wireless network. 1. What is your school's policy in regards to students installing their own access points in the dorms where you have wireless service already

off-topic: does anyone do voip ?

2011-04-05 Thread Matt Ashfield
Hi We're looking into doing VOIP on our campus, and are trying to gather some information. Given this list is a Higher Ed list, I thought I'd try here. I am wondering if anyone on this list has already implemented VOIP on their campus and are willing to talk briefly off-line from this list

Student Wireless Requirements Questionnaire

2011-04-05 Thread Williams, Mr. Michael
We are wanting to expand our wireless footprint on campus but are limited by budget constraints to do a campus wide wireless rollout. We currently have 129 APs in system and have determined that it would take another 160+ APs to cover the majority of our administrative and academic areas.
