University of Wyoming is also running 6.5.4.0 and ran into bug 162521. We
worked with TAC and have a workaround in place. Except for that it has been
good and it allowed us to bring up some 360 series waps.

in August to bring the AP300 series Aps online. We have been in communication
with TAC and there is a new release tomorrow to address the STM crashes… no
word yet on the radar events. I have not opened the can on the AP103H reboots

by TAC at the time to resolve the radar events.

I highly recommend reaching out to your Aruba rep. I’m aware of a particular
stm crash, as that was across multiple code branches.

What type of controllers are you running 6.5 code on, and what’s your
deployment setup like?

Are you sure the radar events weren’t legitimate?

We have been on 6.5.2.1 for around a month and I'm not aware that we have
any problems with it. We have AP135's, AP325's AP205H's and AP303H's and a
pair of 7220 controllers.

RE: Aruba OS 6.5.X

2017-09-21 Thread Oakes, Carl W
Hi Amel,

We've been on 6.5.3.2 for about a month.
Primarily AP 225's, but now some AP325 and 335's, and a couple AP 365/367's,
along with some legacy 135,105 and 93h's.
~1,400 AP's total, all on a single 7240. We have a second 7240 for backup, and
a pair of 7210's for master redundancy.
Primary auth is eduroam, PEAP/MSCHAPV2 against Clearpass (6.6.7).

3 weeks into the semester and so far no issues, knocking on anything wooden I
can find. :)

Even worse, it disconnects and re-enables auto-join at 5 AM local time.
Bluetooth works the same way.

I have heard a theory that they did this because of BLE beacons, but that does
not explain doing it for Wi-Fi.

So, is anyone else getting killed by hotspot interference?

Last year was so pleasant! Most clients moved to 5Ghz (away from interfering
2.4Ghz printers). Now interference is back in the form of iPhone hotspots. I
bet 2-3% of the iPhones on our campus are hot.

Major bug in iOS11 for people onboarding with TLS

2017-09-21 Thread Turner, Ryan H
If users have a preconfigured profile, and they configure for a new
certificate, when connecting it will prompt them for a username/password. I
think clicking OK or cancel (not in a position to test) will allow them on. If
the users delete the profile and certificates then onboard, all is well.

SecureW2 has logged a bug with Apple. This one will be a pain for us TLS
users.
