I've done it. I've had mixed results, both aesthetics and performance wise. You should find out the composition of the glass, as there are many varieties that are extremely difficult for Wireless to penetrate. An additional concern: the glass which is used now by LEEDs compliant buildings seems to be particularly unfriendly to Wifi and Cell phone signals.
