We've always terminated LMR 195/400/600 with solder on tips in the past. Its a
real pain in the arse to do in many environments. Can anyone relate experiences
with the crimp on tips? IS there any loss of reliability etc.?
Thanks,
Chris

I have never soldered and have never had to replace a crimp in 5 years.
Perhaps I'm just good or lucky or a combination of both. LMR400/600.

Chris,

Ok dream list.
I think for future triple play I would make that 20 mbits
what you mention plus:
multiple freq. by change of radio card .. for today 900 mhz, 2.4ghz,
5ghz
support for higher powered radios
single and dual radio versions
QOS
Channel size 5mhz,10mhz etc.

If I sell you something, and you don't call me to tell me there is a
problem with it for a month, I will assume that you got it, and it
worked just fine. If you call me a month later and just opened the box
and the product inside isn't what you remember ordering, then it seems
like someone
We always use the Times Microwave EZ's also and have had stellar
performance and reliability. They are not cheap but the quality is there
and the cost savings for labor help offset the price somewhat.

I think MT's RB112 with the R52 does all this except for the $100 part.
(More like $155).

Is it me or is this out of line? I thought all free countries had

I hope this is no surprise to you... but Canada doesn't have freedom of
speech, nor does the UK, nor much of Europe.
So, let's not get too wrapped up in internet freedom of speech because it
exists only in a fragile way, here in the US.
We have our own self-appointed censors... YOu'll find them
It does to a degree. I did not realize that (Canadian only?) FTA: The

into a crime is at one end that is generally agreed upon as
undesirable for a society, sufficiently undesirable to prohibit it.

So basically your talking about a Mikrotik CPE w/ atheros radio at 5ghz, 2.4ghz
or the coming 900mhz radio running on rb532 SBC

What do you firewall? I have a small list of ports I firewall, but havent'
found it to be a big issue.
Waverider client bridges (EUMs) port block several ports, including SMB
by default, which is a nice feature, since it keeps the traffic off the
air before it
No, I'm not.
