Does anybody know of a 24GHz radio that is smaller than 1'?
It doesn't have to go very far, but we are wanting 24GHz.

I'm not sure many are. If a short range, why not 60 GHz?

Is the SAF that small?
The only specs I see are 9 but I think that may be just the radio itself, but
I am not sure.
60GHz may work, but price is also a concern.

Once you're outside of the AF and Trango 24s, the pricing gets similar. Check
Siklu. Baltic, Winncom and others carry them.

It may be a problem because the FCC rules for that band are pretty
strict. From 15.249:

Hi Bryce,
Of course - there is an 8 antenna - 20 cm for us in Canada - that will do the
job.
I do not know if it is an ETSI Class 4 antenna, which everyone should use if
they can, but the Andrew VHLP200-38 is small enough. Keep in mind it would not
be a dual-polarized antenna at that size.
Bryce,
I thought you wanted a 38 GHz unit - the 24 GHz antenna would be a -26 model,
and you could pair it up with a Canopy radio or anything else of course.

That's for the licensed 24.25-26.5 GHz band. Was the original poster

So the last booth I visited at Wispa in Vegas was the Procera booth. I am
hooked and want to learn more, but at $17k a pop it's a little hard to
swallow, as I would need to purchase 4 of them for my current locations that
I serve. Are there any other solution I can look for to do similar functions
I've had no luck reaching them as well.

Canada licensed 400 MHz from 24.250-24.450 GHz plus 25.050-25.250 GHz, so it is
pretty much harmonized along the lines of the U.S., but the unlicensed 24 GHz
band came along later.
The result is that if Bryce wants to go with unlicensed, he does not need dual
polarity here, but he does need at
Did you try Powercode? They sell the Procera Device.

Thanks for the input. Didn’t try power code, I don’t use their service, but I
guess that doesn’t matter. But still a small little email back would be
awesome! Anyways!

There is an 8in antenna option... also note the question comes from Canada and
not the USA.
SAF certainly offers it... and it meets the gain and beamwidth requirements
below (3.3 degree beamwidth, and 33dBi gain antenna).

Andrew does not make 24GHz unlicensed antennas. Market is too small I guess.
SAF uses Tongyu and Arkivator for this band.

Commscope - the parent company - has a focus on carrier and system sales, so
the unlicensed gear is not really interesting for them at this point, and thus,
no product in the lower 24 GHz band.
