In regards to the USDA grants, doesn't the choosen equipment have to be
certified for use with USDA funds? So you could deploy
Alvarion/Trango/Canopy but you can't use something like
Staros/Mikrotik/Tranzeo???

Why don't you look into stocking those fit-PC slim's? I'm going to look into
getting some for sending audio-over-ethernet for some 2-way radio
purposes...

http://www.barix.com/ you need an instreamer and exstreamer.
They just cost about $800-$1000 a link right now but you get two mono
channels, left and right.

How about if I did a bandwidth test while measuring the power. The meter is
analog and the needle doesn't move that fast so if its constantly TX/RX'ing
I'm thinking it should stay pretty flat.

Brian,
I have a tower site that has its own electric meter since 3 years ago. Have
had several AP's and Backhaul's on it and the meter still reads 0, 3
years later. Electric company thought I wasn't reading the meter and sent a
guy out to re-calibrate it. He said it was accurate.

Do you think that having each card on a RB433 while being installed into an
indoor enclosure with only 1 card per routerboard with foil around the
indoor enclosure will solve the self-interference? Assuming that the RB433's
are still stacked onto each other.
