Re: [WISPA] BIP / BTOP Applications are online
My opinion is... I bet there are fewer overlaps than we expect, when broken down into smaller census blocks. But I bet that they'll pick the best one, and the others are out of luck. But ones with just a few overlapping areas, they'll likely ask the applicant to just remove those areas from their applications. Yeh, amongst the ME apps are $50,000,000 for native american computer centers. No project description. I'm not racist but why do that have the two most expensive projects in the state? I'll look forward to the exec summaries. On Thu, Sep 10, 2009 at 12:57:52PM -0500, Mike Hammett wrote: Thankfully I already knew about all of the applications in my area. The state tried to get us to partner with an applicant that has eight of our thirteen county network. They declined the partnership, lol. I bet they are regretting it now... In some cases they may ask the applicants to return in round 2 with a joint application. That would seem like an unlikely approach to me, but I was told yesterday this was under consideration. But, it's just a rumor, so who knows. Chuck On Sep 10, 2009, at 3:07 PM, Blake Bowers wrote: I wonder how they are going to handle the areas that have 5-6 applications for last mile. The good thing about the program is the independent reviewers (unpaid) who will be going over every application. The reviewers are bound under very strict guidelines. -- From: jp j...@saucer.midcoast.com Sent: Thursday, September 10, 2009 3:33 PM To: WISPA General List wireless@wispa.org Subject: Re: [WISPA] BIP / BTOP Applications are online Yeh, amongst the ME apps are $50,000,000 for native american computer centers.
