Batteries are cheap. It is definitely worth it to have 3-48 hours of battery back up on all tower sites. 3 for the sites with good power 24 - 48 for the sites that are hard to get to so it may be a while before the power company can fix the problem. Or it maybe the site is hard for you to get to if there is a problem. HA! During storms, Nagios will freak out that I have 50 customers down here and there.. The SMS messages on my phone get me up to check. After a brief panic I realize the customers are the victims of a localized power outage! The SMS messages telling me the customers are back on usually lull me back to sleep. I have a nice rat snake at one of my towers keeping the rodents at bay. That is some wasp nest! I had one in an enclosure too but not that big! Did the board still work? What to do about those pesky things?
