We contact people and try to work out a payment schedule to get them caught up. It's BOTH people's fault. You made a mistake and didn't bill him. He made a mistake by not telling you about it. Usually we end up eating half and they end up paying half. AND we don't to that at all often

Call the guy, explain that his billing slipped through the cracks, and that he presently owes you for 15 months. Explain that you're going to charge the current charges to his credit card (no quibble on that) and then ask how he'd like to pay the rest of what's owing. I have some customer's
