Auctioning off the TV channels is not acceptable to us.
We are a rural WISP supplying 20,000 homes with ABSOLUTLY no other option.
These frequency are vital in the non line of site issues facing WISP today.
900MHz is simply not as effective as once

As a WISP serving rural Indiana, our biggest problem with
providing 100% coverage to our potential customers

Trying to put in more towers makes no sense as there could never be enough
of them to properly penetrate these vibrant green hillsides. We need the TV
frequency. The physics of the frequencies making up the over the air
television bands make them ideal for broadband deployment.

While pretty much (ok 100%) a lurker on the list, I do see this
as a significant issue and have filed a comment as well. Thanks!

Thanks for helping make our voices heard. The new administration at
the FCC seems to not know that WISPs exist so maybe Kevin Martin will
know now when his email server fills with requests from us to act on
their own ruling that they are ignoring right now.
Thanks guys!

YEOWZA Brian, there was quite a few replies from dslreports.
A lot of comments were posted, I skimmed through quite a few.
Also Intel backs the unlicensed use of tv whitespace for wisps to use
according to their comment.
