The RB52 Cards are FCC certified with the RB400 Series boards. They must be

Re: [WISPA] ptmp gear

2008-12-31 Thread Blair Davis

I'd use MT on 5.3GHz with netstream.

Depending on load, you could likely serve the 25 buildings with 2-3 MT
ap's, or even a RouterBoard 600 with 2-3 radio cards.

In tests, I've pushed over 50Mb/s thru 2 radio cards as netstream ap's
on a RB600.

And I'd use 5.2/5.3 because the power limits will be of no matter at a
range of 2000ft or less...

And netstream because I just don't care for 802.11abg for backhauls.

2.4ghz ap's, serving 15 or so people per building.

Subject: [WISPA] ptmp gear

I am looking for a ptmp(ap/cpe) solution, 5.2/5.4/5.8 ghz, need to be
able to support about 25 feeds into several ap's. Need it to be cheap,
but work..Will have complete los and the longest link will be .25 miles.
Trying to link 25 buildings in a multi housing setup. Thanks for any
help.

MT and Arc can certainly do that. Does it need to have all three
bands in one enclosure at a time or just one per CPE?

The ARC antennas I use go from 4.9 to 5.8. The RB radios will do more
then that.
