Looks like it's not a problem with sshdump itself, rather with how wireshark
handles the extcap.
Can you run sshdump from the command line. Locate the executable and run it
with --help. It should

Giving a second look at your screenshot: since the password is not stored,
you're required to input it on the second connection. Did you do that?

Many things look strange here.
First, the debug file of sshdump indicates the command line:
/Applications/Wireshark.app/Contents/MacOS/extcap/sshdump --capture
--extcap-interface sshdump --fifo
