We might be able to create a separate utility that reads IPv4 and IPv6
addresses, looks them up, and writes any matching information, similar to
logresolve[1] or adnslogres[2]. This would keep libmaxminddb at arm's length,
and if we played our cards right the new implementation could be faster than
the current one.

Moving back to CONFIRMED since Maxmind is discontinuing their GeoLite legacy
databases in April:

The MaxMind DB format looks pretty simple, particularly compared to the file
formats we already deal with:
