I just tried and reproduced. The issue does not appear in the version you
suggested.
Applying a filter on a large live capture seems to work fine.
Are you planning to include this fix to the next official release?

You need to take the installer, not the debug files. For example:

This could be a duplicate (refresh od the columns when applying / removing the
columns).
Unfortunately the automated 2.2.1rc0 nigthly build was removed (too old), so we
need to build another one. Another way to verify is to give a try to one of the
2.3.0rc0 builds.

Hello,

No, this does not seem to be a duplicate, it is a different case than 12929.
I cannot find 2.1.1rc nighty build in the link you sent me.
Could you please review?

Steps clarified:
- Start capture
- Capture is long enough (on a network with hub and after 15-20 minutes)
- Try to change filter while the capture is still live and running
- Wireshark exits on Windows 7 as if i had pressed the X button and i lose all
information

Reproduced 3 times at least.
