In the sample capture the first BGP message has ext comm with VXLAN "after" the
MPLS tag. With this the second dissection pass should have the needed
information to update this accordingly and display VNI. However it fails to do
so.

Support for RFC8365 and draft-ietf-idr-tunnel-encaps-15 has been implemented
some weeks ago and will be available in the next major release 3.4.

You can test it with an automatic build (3.3.0rc0;

RFC 8365

5.1.3. Constructing EVPN BGP Routes

For the balance of this memo, the above
MPLS label fields will be referred to as the VNI field. The VNI
field is used for both local and global VNIs; for either case, the
entire 24-bit field is used to encode the VNI value.

I think the RFC means true "MPLS lable" while using MPLS encapsulation.
With my attached pcap file, it's an example of VXLAN encapsulation.
The value of MPLS label field means 24-bit VNI.

The screenshot shows only a small excerpt. Further information (e.g. is is
VXLAN EVPN or so) is missing.

Normally (s. RFC 7432 Section 9.2.1) "..the MPLS Label1 field is encoded as 3
octets, where the high-order 20 bits contain the label value".

In the attached screenshot this is 0x00754 (=> 1876).

@Michael: Why do you think this is wrong? As Alexis already asked: Can you
provide a pcap and more details?

While the value is 0x007544, it shows 1876 (which is ignore the last 4 bits).

  0111 0101 0100 = MPLS Label 1: 1876

 0100 (missing)

It should be 30020 in decimal.
