Re: [Wireshark-users] Unable to post questions at ask.wireshark.org

2024-04-22 Thread Vaughan Wickham
Hello Chris,

Entirely possible.

I must have had a question sometime ago and created an account.

But I don’t recall what that question was or which site I was using.

Regards,
Vaughan

Hmm, I don’t see that username at all. Possibly you created it on the old
site, https://osqa-ask.wireshark.org/?

Hello Chris,

My account is: VeeDub

There would be very little past activity. I don’t recall signing up.

In any event I have been able to obtain assistance on the Discord server, so I
don’t think it is worth worrying about.

Thank you.

Vaughan

What is your username on ask.wireshark.org? If your account is blocked, then
there’s either a reason it was blocked or possibly it was blocked in error.
The first thing to do would be to review your past account activity to
determine why your account was blocked in the first place.

There are content filters on the Q&A site that sometimes prevent questions or
comments from being posted.

What is the error you get?
You might create a simple question with no links or code content to see if that
is successful then edit it with details afterwards.

There is also a Wireshark Discord server - see upper right of
ask.wireshark.org<http://ask.wireshark.org> for link to it.
Post in the #pcap-help channel or other appropriate.

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be posting this question, I
