Yeah, way off topic, but I'll chime in. All this booting stuff is no longer relevant. It's the equivalent of an 'old wives tale'. In the past there were major reasons for turning them off: 1) Monitors didn't turn off/darken/sleep, and when left on, literally burned out. Same for hard drives,

Seems we are way way off topic All good points but why not just have all your employees turn off their computers and monitors each night or at a minimum sleep them. Save some electricity which in turn, over the life cycle of the machine, will prevent the production of a heap of greenhouse
