Hi,
Can I create a feature in a merge module (directly or indirectly)?
It looks like not in wix 3.0.
I don't quite understand why.
Any explanation is greatly appreciated!

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.
I was just worried if is it something related to impersonate privileges? The
logs seem to show some errors related to Impersonate privilege.

Hi,
Can we write custom command line switches in Wix?
Here's my scenario. I want to have an optional switch -AUTOLOGIN in the command
line, then evaluate if the switch is specified in Wix xml. Any help on this
appreciated.
Thanks,

Hey Raj,
As a side note on this, I wrote a little app that goes over the heat
generated output and uses the lower-case, variablized value of the Source
attribute of the File elment. I then take that element and hash to generate
a, more then likely, unique file ID. The process looks something like

This application needs its own java-runtime.

Thanks again, Bob.
Regarding that undefined behavior, what I'm seeing is that candle
warnings about component id length are becoming errors reported by light
as duplicate component ids. They are duplicate components because in
the wixobj file the id fields are empty. At least that is my current

Yes, I would volunteer for such an effort. I know I've been told to `put up or
shut up` before but I never helped out because I'm not the strongest C#
application developer. However in the build / release role I'm very
comfortable and I feel that it's something I could do to help the cause.
Best practice is to use a file ID Formatted value, in this example you would
use [#file_0].

Use the heat tool with the -sfrag switch: It generates a ComponentGroup
that you can reference in with ComponentGroupRef.
