There isn't a DIFxApp merge module in WiX, but there is one in the WDK. WiX can certainly add a dependency on a merge module that isn't shipped with WiX. Wouldn't you do the same thing with the MFC redistributable (add a merge module dependency)? You wouldn't add the MFC components directly
