Hi Phil, thanks a lot for this hint, it helped to figure it out =) I was adding shortcuts to the startmenu and used a registry value as key path which was stored under HKCU. I did store it there because WiX didn't let me store it in HKLM even though AllUsers (InstallScope=perMachine) was set.
