a large collection of non-versioned files.
The shared resources are packaged into a merge module, which is included in the
installer for each of the other products. The shared resources should only be

I have a wix-based installer in which I want to do a major upgrade.
I have an old version of the product that has a custom action that
fires during uninstall, unless a property is specified. i.e. If I just
uninstall my application, the action fires, but if I 'msiexec

Any idea what causes this? I'm trying to follow the steps defined here:

to create a patch for my application, using wix 3.
I've created two wixout files, using light.exe -xo ...
