Here's a direct link to the latest build [1], although using Subversion
might be a better idea.

I was kinda wondering that myself. Every time I hit upgrade the version
thing still says 2.8-bleeding-edge.. Any plans on numbering things?

What is the latest build?
This normally the last automatically/manual complied version of the code
from all the developers. Latest build may have code that will break other
features or has skeleton version of new feature... which is why you should
not use it a production.

I'm building an update to a site, and have decided to use xHTML5 to
make use of the new video element. On my developing server I've used
WP2.6.3, and now when it's time to release the site, I've upgraded to
