Did you extract the extension first? Some of them need that to work. Are you using a 64-bit OS? You'll need to adjust paths. I'm using the version on the wiki with a few small changes to handle both 32 and 64-bit. Here's my entry for adblock+: package id=firefox-adblock name=Adblock+
