For some reason wpkg didn't find the network path after removing and
installing the version in your post.

Yes and Yes.
This test it remained on for about 90 seconds.
Can I take it that it shouldn't appear at all when the network is
Hi,
Everyone experiencing logon delay window being shown when the network
cable was disconnected - could you try:

It is a test version made just to verify this problem, so please don't

OK, so offline mode sucks right now on some machines, especially when
used with logon delay.
I feel it needs a small redesign.
Some machines seem to enable network much later (wireless, but also some
wired ones) - even if technically the network is started alreay. There

So, what should we do in that case? We could try to connect several
times for several seconds, but what to do with logon delay then? Block
the user, often unnecessarily? Don't block any more, but it can happen

Hi,

Mmmh... try with cable disconnected, i think it is not the same.

Hi,
I have had similar issues on a laptop, without vmware - if I disconnect
the network, I have to wait for the maximum delay to log in, despite
having configured off-line mode.
Can you still reproduce it? On every laptop you have?
I just reproduced this behavior on a normal

Yes. Very reproducible. Happens every time. I have only tried in on one
laptop so far - I could try it on another, but haven't done so yet.

Hi,
Ha! Bad boy! Microsoft does not support running Windows in virtualized
environments (unless it's Microsoft virtualized environment) and so WPKG
don't support it neither!
(WPKG part was a late Aprils Fools' joke; Microsoft part is true)
So far I haven't had any problems running Windows

I use WPKG within VMWare, Virtual-PC and VirtualBox without problems
yet. However I do not use the logon delay feature. What I noticed is
that VMWare sometimes is extremely slow when handing out DHCP

I have no idea. A bug? Which doesn't show up on real machines, though,
which is either good or bad.
Sure? I thought that Bug 106 is reporting a problem where WPKG service
seems to wait for the maximum logon delay. Probably there is really an
issue. If I have
Hi Tomasz,
It is a correct switch, but using it prevents passing a proper exit code
to WPKG Client.
No, it does not. If used in the topmost script (not a sub-script
invoked via call) it will also terminate cmd.exe with the given code.

So scripts should never exit using 'exit code' from my point of view.
Using 'exit /b code' perfectly serves the purpose and works in every

Hello,
I'm currently evaluating wpkg for software distribution in my company using a
Vmware environment. After testing some commercial products without much
success, I'm really surprised how well software deployment works with wpkg.
My current setup should work like that:
