Hello,
i would like to change the user and password that is actually used by the
wpkg clients to connect to the wpkg server.
Is there a way to deploy a new settings.xml file to the clients that
overrides the old one?
Thank you.

Hello,
i was wondering if it was possible for WPKG to create a package that checks
the existence and the version of some plugins for a certain program and, if
the found versions are smaller than the ones indicated in the package, the
plugins are updated (the plugins are simply .dll files).
a .vbs file in the package but i
think it's related to the script itself so i'll ask for help in a proper
forum.
Thanks again!

Hello,
i created a new package in order to install Squiggle (a domain network only
chat system). Unfortunately the program does not come with an installer, so
i had to adjust the package in order to:
1. Check if the process squiggle.exe is running and kill it
2. Remove the actual squiggle

Yes, sure. If it is not - perhaps the wpkg run via wpkgservice tries
to deinstall wpkg_client (if there are remove cmds in), and the
domain startup script (if it comes later) reinstalls wpkg client again.
Good luck,
Falko

Yes. In this case you can do:
host name=yourpcname profile-id=default
profile id=testprofile /

I simply did host name=mypcname profile-id=TestProfile / in order not
to have to create also an empty

Ri-hello everybody (i know you hate me from the bottom of your hearts),
i have another awesome question for you.
I finally decided to deploy the WPKG Client x64 edition via Global Domain
Policy. I did not use the default domain policy, i created a new one -
called WPKG Client Deployment - that:

You can „install“ extensions globally by copying them _anywhere_ e.g.
%ProgramFiles%\local\FirefoxExtensions
and registering them like described here:

Well, i can't believe it... but it works.

Have you already tried that?
I think that the folder must exist in order to make this work.
That works, ofc. Logs all go to a \\servername\wpkg\logs folder.
What i would like is the program to put machine logs in subfolders of the

I will probably solve the issue not using psexec (nobody seems to know why
