Hi there,
Can anyone tell me what the current state of play is with the hr/hr tags
XHTML?
They seem to be the answer for a particular design I'm working on, and they
don't appear to be marked for deprecation.
Are there any compelling reasons not to use them? (Apart from them being
empty tags).

You only need to write hr/ in XHTML or, if you need to be compatible
with Appendix C, hr /. If you use HTML instead, then you only need hr.

good point. There's always the tan hack, but probably the better way to
go is to exploit IE/Macs lack of @media support.

The conditional comment needs to go within the HTML, since it is an HTML
comment. There are no conditional

Move all your styles into a CSS file ie6.css and just link to the style
sheet as you normally would but within the conditional comment
