If you are collecting email and other contact information, you should have a privacy statement detailing what you will do with that information. If you only plan to use it internally, i.e. mailing list, specify that. It's not a nice thing to have; it should be a required thing. We all have

Maybe we can steer it towards web standards? Anyone interested in Privacy as a standard should check out the W3C's Platform for Privacy Preferences http://www.w3.org/P3P/ This is a W3C Recommendation and has been around for a bit now... Richard :o)
