That would (probably) be part of the wonders of 'Threaded' view in
Outlook: the 'Thread Closed' message is always filed in a different
place from the thread that you are reading!

Hi to all,
how to change color of numbers in items OL list, but do not change
color of text in items?
My idea with inner span:

li span { color: blue; }
HTML code:

lispanItem1/span/li
lispanItem2/span/li

Any idea, but without span?
Use a list-style with an image?

Change the OL tag color:red, and then use the span color:blue for your span.

A very silly question that I cannot believe I am asking.
I have never had to use img within the body tag. I was playing about with
a test case for a client and happened to put img directly within the body
(was for an image on screen with next and prev. links ... a gallery).
I validated, and it
If you're using XHTML, inline elements (like imgs) need to be contained
within a block level element (like a div).

I came across the below, sorry I don't have any notes on where, and it's
worked for me. Put the color you want on the li and then use to change the
number color and weight.
ol { counter-reset: item }
ol li { display: block }
ol li:before {
content: counter(item) . ;
counter-increment: item;
Ah, see. One little assumption threw me off.
I know inlines can't contain blocks. I assumed the body element was block
level by default. You see, it goes to show, after developing websites for
many companies and government agencies over the years you can still be threw
off by something silly.
Hi Anton,
My idea with inner span:
CSS code:
li { color: red; }
li span { color: blue; }
As far as I know that about as good a solution as it gets. I'm not aware of
another way to get the job done.

Thank you, men, it's good idea! But IE don't understand there. I think
what better use extra tags as span.

Indeed a change in the background position using sprites, would be a good
way.
Besides you save a few http requests as well.
You can checkout an ALA article about it here:
