File names are only unique for a given directory on a given file
system. It is impossible to tell what specific image a given filename
refers to without actually having the file. John Unsworth explained
this when you asked this in July. He also provided you with some
suggests on where you might look for images that you can use.

The selection of good images for a given site is dependent on the
overall design of that site. It isn't possible to make good
recommendations out of context.

Also, while I appreciate your situation, this mailing list is supposed
to be about the discussion of web standards. I don't think requests
for graphic design work and media sourcing really fall into category.

Sorry, I only have image001.gif and image003.gif. If I find image002.gif
I'll pop it in the post straight away. :)

You can download it and have versions of IE all the way back to 1.0!

I just downloaded and tested this, selecting IE 5.01, IE 5.5, IE 6.0,
and IE 7. They react as expected to the usual hacks: Tan (or star-html)
hack; backslash hack; *:first-child+html; as well as the
underscore-before-property and star-before-property hacks.

The situation WRT conditional comments is a bit more mixed. All reacted
correctly to the major version, but "[if IE 5.01]" and "[if IE 5.5]"
conditions are ignored by all...

Note that I retained the original IE 8. Not sure if this makes a
difference, as it certainly borked the version vector on the stand-alone
versions from Tredosoft that I used previously.

Cordially,
David
