RE: [WSG] web standards training course/events in Sydney next year?
Someone once told me that New Zealand was a country, and not a state of Australia. I didn't believe them - I mean, we made Lord of the Rings and Russell Crowe, didn't we? :) Cheers, Miles. http://www.port80.asn.au -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Sigurd Magnusson Sent: Wednesday, 23 November 2005 11:58 AM To: wsg@webstandardsgroup.org Subject: Re: [WSG] web standards training course/events in Sydney next year? RE: [WSG] WE05 - who's going?
Wow, and I thought five of us coming from Perth was keen...Japan is even further afield. :) Be good to meet you all - should we have a secret handshake? :) I guess the drinks on Thursday night will uncover us all. Maybe someone can shout out and rustle everyone to put their hand up if they are 'on list'? Cheers Miles. RE: [WSG] New Site Design (Hopkins Programming)
Wearing my design hat (eg: not looking at the code at all) I prefer the second one. Personally, I'd remove the 'Last Updated:' part of the footer. Why tell people when it hasn't been updated for weeks or months? [WSG] Election campaign websites
It is interesting to note that for us lot in Western Australia, that none of the political party campaign websites for the state election next month actually meet html or css validation. http://www.waliberals.net/ http://betterfuture.com.au http://www.greens.org.au http://wwwdemocrats.org.au http://www.familyfirst.org.au See the results of the validator tests at http://www.port80.asn.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1629. [WSG] Review of website please
Hi CSS gurus, :) We've just launched our new website, having had a quick CSS learning curve over the last few months, and would love opinions/feedback/criticism of it. Everything is game - let me know it all, no matter how bad. :) Please have a gander at http://www.bam.com.au On another topic, the WA web industry association has just released its 'What to ask your prospective web designer/developer' document. I'm hoping some of you may have a use for it to hand to prospective clients, or indeed have some feedback on that as well. It's URL is http://www.port80.asn.au/docs/Port80_whattoask.pdf Cheers thanks in advance, Miles. --- Miles Burke Bam Creative Pty Ltd [EMAIL PROTECTED] Suite 6 / 1 Vincent St http://www.bam.com.au Mt Lawley WA 6050 Tel (08) 9371 1320ACN 102 492 955 Fax (08) 9272 6625ABN 51 102 492 955 ** The discussion list for http://webstandardsgroup.org/ See http://webstandardsgroup.org/mail/guidelines.cfm for some hints on posting to the list getting help **
