Oh yes, I'm not bothered about Accredations really. More concerned
about the quality of the course and most employers I've come across
are more concerned with your experience.

Cheers again!

 Hi all,

Sorry, I lost this thread. Perhaps you are right about the online
training with Video. I just find it easier to have someone to ask face
to face - you learn quicker that way.

I'll look into this IRC thingo, never actually taken a look.

 Thanks for your replies.

You are probably right - it's just some employers demand accreditation -
although I am in Aus not UK (so Í'm sure it's different here). I learnt

Also just wanted to let you know its $50 US dollars not pounds - so you
might find it is only 25 UK pounds

Paul,

For £100 you can get a selection of books that would teach the basics and go
beyond a short course. You can also purchase a DVD package for around $200
(try CBT Nuggets). If you buy DVDs ensure they are up to date.

We can book you on an online course:

Building Rich Internet Applications With PHP 5 and AJAX

If that's of any interest? Price is about right and it runs over 6
3-hour sessions with live instructor tuition and 2-way chat. All
sessions are recorded so you can play back at your convenience.

Email me off-list if you are interested.

Cheers,

Nick

Hi all,

I hope this is on topic. I'm trying to find a short course on AJAX in
london and having troubles finding one that is of a reasonable price
(IE- less than £300 for a half day). Could anyone recommend me one or
possibly a good school to look into?

Thanks for any help,
Paul
