Read the license terms - they are very clear. You can only use the demo
version to help you assess whether you are going to purchase the full
version. Nothing else.
 
You explicitly cannot use the demo version for testing your websites.
 
Once you have decided that you are not going to purchase the full version,
you cannot use the demo version any longer.
 
It sounds like your decision whether to purchase it is not based on
comparison with other screen readers, but it is based solely on the cost of
the product. As such your decision is already made and you cannot
legitimately use the demo version. 
 
It certainly is expensive but it's a tool of the trade that you just have to
have if you want to build accessible websites.

i have downloaded jaws and i get a nag screen to activate it.  i checked the
price for the program and $850 is quite a bit of money.  there was nothing
mentioned about a time limit on the program.  could someone give me some
additional info on this issue?
