'And I agree Sam, having movement like that behind text is one of the worst things you can do.' I think that was meant as an example. If this trick is used in a more ambiant way it could be really useful. Maybe just have some image substitution for opera until a solution is found.

Andrew I'd much rather use a limited palette PNG via CSS than cross my fingers and hope that Flash's JPEG algorithm doesn't destroy my image Agreed the jpg comppressor in flash is brutal on lower and med quality but why not use the png in flash? Obviously this wouldnt work if

% height problem on my own. I tried converting 3 column stretched width layouts to vertical a vertical format buy no joy. Right now I'm trying another fixed height version but its a big comprimize in the look im going for. Hope to get some good advice here. -kvnmcwebn

they mark up my designs and ad the vb .net code a typical page will be running validation errors in the hundreds. I told them that they need to start with web standards and get thier pages to validate before they start on accessability. Was that sound advice? -best kvnmcwebn

Thanks seona and josh, .although when they say accessibility they are probably thinking of screen readers and users who can't use a mouse, accessibility also includes being able to access the information and basic functionality of a site in numerous browsing devices.
