Hi Dave, as the audio in you case is going via a signal link, that might be the problem. Try setting WSJT-X to send the audio to the local PC speakers and see if the problem persists for you. Then you will know if its the Signal link drivers or some thing deeper inside the PC. I have updated

I've been compiling my own builds on W7-64bit for a couple of years, always using QT5.2. Are there any reasons or advantages to switching to QT5.5? Any disadvantages? -- Check out the vibrant tech community on one

All I see is that you can delay the install. I'm lucky that I have 2 PCs and I can see what happens with one before I update the other. I did update the PC that runs WSJT-X and I did have to change the settings/privacy/microphone to allow use of the microphone - even though I'm using a device
