Just a note about possible bug in FT8 v2.1 operation. Over long periods
of receive (>2 minutes) FT8 randomly misses either even or odd time
phase decodes (all of them) or at least does not show any in the left
list box. Clock timing is within 500mS on the computer and many signals
are present with good signal strength for decode. Whether even or odd
is random and the occurrence is also random. You can see it happen
after only 2-3 minutes of receive operation. In previous versions of
software this never happened.
Operating with windows 10 1903 and a flex 6400 radio. I can monitor the
audio level going to WSJTx using the DAX app that sets level. The level
remains pretty steady depending on the number of signals present.
This is annoying enough that I plan to revert to the previous version of
software (v2.0.1) to prevent loss of QSOs and repeats. Hopefully this is
a known issue that has a fix.
