Hi, I've experienced this intermittent orphaning of jt9.exe, reported by me in an earlier version. I couldn't find any obvious root cause. Two suggestions: 1. Put something in the user guide about stopping the orphan process rather than rebooting the computer? 2. Is there a way of globall

Tony -- Yes, you were using the executable called jt9.exe. That program provides the decoding for all slow modes in WSJT-X. Rebooting is not necessary. Simply use Windows Taskmaster to kill the still-executing jt9.exe. A report of program failure is useful only if you can provide details

Hi Dennis, I use DX Lab Suite and JT Alert and I got a Fatal Error message and also one that said JT9 failed to close but I wasn't using JT9. The program just closed and I had to reboot the PC to correct it. This happened the same as it did on earlier rc versions. Thanks. 73 Tony, ZL3HAM
