Yes I do have Malwarebytes and an anti-virus running but both have the temp
WSJT-X folder and file exempted. It probably is something that's running but
if WSJT-X can't find that directory inside a temp directory, it should just
re-create i

AFAIK, the wsjtx_status.txt file is created every time wsjt-x is
started, and is deleted every time wsjt-x is closed. If it is
disappearing while wsjt-x is running, it might well be some other
program is deleting it. The same is true for the entire subfolder. Stop
any other running progr
