Re: [wsjt-devel] auto choosing correct sequence in msk144 mode

2016-09-15 Thread Jay Hainline
Just a thought and I haven’t tried to see, we have been using 15 second T/R
with msk144. Does the issue continue when using 30 sec T/R? Maybe its related
to where its set in reference to printing the wrong time and going "off
sequence".

Hi Jay and all,

I’ve observed this behavior too - but I have attributed it to the fact that
click-to-decodes are printed with the wrong time. This is an issue that is
known and is “on the list” of things to address. The click-to-decodes are
printed with the time of the previously completed sequence, and not the current
sequence. As such, if you click on a decode that came from a “click-to-decode”,
the wrong sequence will be chosen.

It would be useful to know whether or not your observations are consistent with
mine, or if you find that clicking on a regular end-of-cycle decode results in
the wrong sequence being chosen.

I think it is consistent with what you are seeing Steve.

I may have used the wrong verbage Joe. I didn't mean the TX1 to TX6 messages
but the actual time to transmit controlled by the TX even/1st box that is
checked or unchecked.

Hi Jay,

I don't understand your comment. It seems to me that in MSK144 mode, as in
all others, double-clicking on a line of decoded text does set the proper Tx
sequence for calling that station.

I do not understand why this might not be working for you. Please
elaborate.

[wsjt-devel] auto choosing correct sequence in msk144 mode

2016-09-15 Thread Jay Hainline
One thing I have noticed and wish it would be implemented is when double
clicking on a callsign in the band activity window, the program does not
automatically pick the correct sequence to transmit on like it does in
JT65+JT9 mode. You have to check or uncheck the Tx even/1st box manually to
put your radio in the correct sequence. It would be nice if the program
would do this automatically so you are not accidentally transmitting at the
wrong time.

Using WSJT-X v1.7.0-rc1 r7083, Windows 10 64 bit.
