Yes it would be a small subset. The dual instances would not help against fade in middle of reception periods but would help if directional antennas are used that would have different patterns. You could set it up where the active instance of WSJT-X switches TX automatically. But the beauty of diversity reception is that the conditions keep changing, mid-QSO. Two instances of WSJT-X would be moot, since the 1st one would control the session after the QSO starts. You can run two instances of WSJT-X, each fed with a different DAX channel. One on Antenna 1 and the other on Antenna 2 (with 6600 & 6700 models only since they have dual SCUs). You would need to pick the one with stronger signal. Flex Radios definitely support diversity reception. The 6600, 6600M and 6700 have the necessary dual receivers.
