Re: [wsjt-devel] minor Fast Graph time scale bug msk144 mode

2018-02-12 Thread Jay Hainline
Gary, you didn’t follow the correct sequence of events to see the bug.

Open WSJT-X, change to msk144 mode.
Set T/R to 15 seconds. Fast Graph should also show 15 second time scale.
Switch WSJT-X to another mode from the Mode Menu, say FT8.
Close WSJT-X
Reopen WSJT-X. It should be in FT8 mode.
Switch mode from the Mode Menu to msk144
T/R will show 15 seconds but the Fast Graph time scale will show 0-30 seconds
instead.
Changing T/R to 10 or 30 seconds and back to 15 seconds will force the Fast
Graph time scale to follow along and all is OK.

Mike posted a fix. So hopefully it will be placed into 1.9.0-RC1 before its
released to everyone to try.

Thanks and 73,
Jay KA9CFD

It doesn’t do it here…. BUT! … I use a different configuration for most
mode/band changes. It loads every time I switch configs.

I just tried it this way: I loaded MSK144 config and then closed the program.
When I opened it again, it was in 15 second mode. I then changed it to 30 sec
mode, closed it and reopened it, and it was in 30 sec mode. I went back to 15
sec mode, closed, reopened, and it was in 15 sec mode. Seems to be fine here -
can’t make it fail the way I use it.

This is a minor thing and has been occurring for several revisions. I was
wondering if anyone one has seen this. When I first open WSJT-X and its in
another mode besides msk144, when I switch to msk144 mode, the Fast Graph scale
seems to default to 30 seconds even though T/R is set to 15 seconds. The
scrolling waterfall appears to be correct, but the time scale is wrong. It’s a
simple matter of switching T/R to another setting and then back to 15 seconds
and the time scale on the fast graph will follow along and be correct then.
This only seems to happen when first opening WSJT-X. The bug does not appear
again once it is open and have switched to other modes and back to msk144.

Thought I would mention it.
