I am taking my first steps in learning Watir and Ruby on my own. I started by extending the test_logger1 example that came with the Watir download.
The readme.txt file suggested sharing any improvements with this mailing list. I think my extension is an improvement in that it is has some
the long and short names are the windows paths
long name is something like c:\program files\apache group\apache
the short name is the windows 8.3 version of it, probaly something like
c:\program~p2\Apache~1\
Its done this way to avoid problems with the spaces in the long file names
