(The most recent version of wxHaskell on Hackage does not compile on Windows.) For wxWidgets 3.0, there are several updates necessary; debugging is however an enormous amount of work, as long as wxHaskell does not run within GHCi. The scientific way to update wxHaskell would be to study all changes in wxWidgets, but that is also an enormous amount of work. For proper debugging it would be an big improvement, if we had a debugger that would step through both Haskell and C/C++ code.
