Hello Guys,

I keep thinking how can we lower the barriers to wxPerl and increase its uptake.

I wondered if some online training might be quite nice. I would like
to try creating some online training videos, maybe we could upload
them to youtube or somewhere. I wondered if anyone knew of any
classroom software that would allow us to do that.

In the absence of any decent and free conferencing software that would
allow us to video conference, share screens, ask interactive questions
and of course record it for posterity, we could use Google Hangouts
for the time being.

Therefore, I would like to invite you to an initial video Hangout.
The subject would be "How to create a simple data entry screen with
wxPerl". We'd cover the basic layout of a window and how to collect
data from it. I'd like to invite everyone to join in, if you are more
experienced, please feel free to join in and contribute your own
ideas, if you are interested in the wxPerl book, please join in and we
could use the information we generate for samples and parts of a
chapter, if you just want to learn, then even better.

We are in all sorts of time zones, so I suggest if we did it late
evening UK time, it would be early morning antipodean time and daytime
in the US, sorry India.

What do people think? Would that work?

Regards

Steve.
