I have a desktop which acts as X11 server for a number of windows from other machines/servers.
With recent versions of OS-X ^H^H^H^H macOS, there were some changes made to allow some activity during sleep. I am not entirely familiar with the mechanics but it is called "Power Nap". One of the problems I have is that if I put my Mac to sleep overnight to save on power/heat, the remote apps don't get their "ack"s and declare the connection dead. Has there been any thought on giving the X11 server the ability to use this PowerNap to be able to send back the acks to remote X applications to keep the links active ? _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list.
