Re: [x265] [ANN] x265 is migrating to Git!
Question, once bitbucket removes all mercurial repositories, will x265_git stay as x265_git, or will it be renamed to x265 to replace the mercurial repository? Next, will there be a guide on how to contribute for the git repo and details on how the two vcs systems will work together? For example: - Will you accept git send-email or git format-patch emails? - Will there be a chance that the mercurial and git repo to be out of sync? If so, is there a plan on what to do in those cases? (Will the git repo be rebased on the mercurial one, etc) Also, I'm a bit curious on how you guys did a repo conversion and how you plan to keep them in sync On Wed, Feb 5, 2020 at 7:39 AM Mario *LigH* Rohkrämer wrote: > Ah, sorry, I should then read instead: > > https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265_git/wiki/Home > > > Mario *LigH* Rohkrämer schrieb am 05.02.2020 um 13:38: > > This change will require to update the compiling instructions on > > > > https://bitbucket.org/multicoreware/x265/wiki/Home > > > > > > Aruna Matheswaran schrieb am 04.02.2020 um 14:40: > >> Hi all, > >> > >> As we all know, bitbucket, our primary hosting source is removing > >> support for Mercurial repositories from June 1, 2020 - > >> https://bitbucket.org/blog/sunsetting-mercurial-support-in-bitbucket. > >> > >> At this right time, we are migrating x265 project to Git.
