I will not buy this record, it is scratched!

There are probably quite a few undocumented options, not just broker-related
ones.

Hi all,

Switching from a windows application to a terminal window inside an X2Go session by left clicking on the terminal window, a whole line of text gets selected inside the terminal -- clearing the content of the clipboard.

Do you also experience the same problem? Is there a solution for this?

Host: windows 7 with X2GoClient v.4.0.4.0 (self compiled from source) and VcXsrv v1.15.2.4

Server: Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.6.5 with X2GoServer v.4.0.1.18

Desktop environment/Session: Gnome v2.28.2-11

Session: Type: Gnome

Re: [X2Go-User] communication between local and remote (seamless) applications

2015-04-21 Thread Mike Gabriel

Hi,

usecase with one application running on a remote machine in

the local system, like e.g. passing an email address back that should be
handed to the local mail client.

Any hints for further investigation or maybe APIs that could be used to
build that kind of information passing?

At the moment there is no means of communication between local and
server-side pub apps.

In Python X2Go (PyHoca-GUI) there is a feature called MIME type drop
box. You can drop a file to some server-side folder and it gets opened
on the client (works on Windows and Linux).

But what you suggest is actually a deeper approach of
inter-application communication, right?

[X2Go-User] win x2goclient with broker

2015-04-21 Thread swizz ly
Hi again,

How to start the windows x2goclient (v4.0.4.0) to connect to an x2gobroker. There is no such option in the gui or in the command-line, however, the linux x2goclient has such command-line options.

The command line options work on 4.0.3.2 at least, so I would expect
them to work on a 4.0.4.0 nightly build as well, e.g.

- --broker-url=ssh://u...@server.name.here:22/usr/bin/x2gobroker

A full list can be found here:
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:advanced:x2gobroker:start

If they don't, please file a bug.

See
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:bugs#reporting_bugs
for an explanation of how to do this.

Now, if they're not *listed* in the output of x2goclient --help,
well - I guess that's another bug. :-)
